I started shooting long guns and handguns with my father when I was probably 10 years old. My father was a collector and I had the chance to shoot a lot of really cool guns. In my later teens I got away from shooting and it came back up again when my wife wanted to get her pistol permit.
My love of firearms began at the age of six when I fired my first shot from a Red Ryder BB gun. From there, I was hooked. I continued shooting firearms through my teens as I began to shoot .22 rifles competitively in the Sporter-rifle league, eventually working my way to the league’s top shooter.
I acquired my handgun permit at an early age but did not shoot much until taking a basics class from Rochester Personal Defense LLC. Several years and many classes later, I am hooked again: this time shooting handguns.
I’m excited to be an instructor with Rochester Personal Defense LLC and looking forward to passing on the excitement of the shooting industry to new students.
