This is YOUR first step in getting started. The USCCA Handgun Basics course Part 1 is the classroom session for the whole course. We have taken our Handgun Basics course and merged it with the USCCA’s Basic Handgun course to use the best of both courses!
After you finish the USCCA Handgun Basics Part 1, you can move on and complete the USCCA Handgun Basics Part 2 (Live Fire) session.
No one should be without the education that it takes to safely own a handgun. This USCCA Basic Handgun course is designed for those of you who want to start learning how to shoot and how to develop the right mindset for the responsible gun owner. There is no need for any prior experience to participate, although more experienced shooters have taken the class and ended up learning some very valuable skills.
In this course, we will answer important questions regarding your handgun and how it works, we will teach you about the shooting fundamentals, we will talk about the laws of having a gun and more!
This course is taught by highly skilled and experienced instructors who love their work. They all know the importance of starting out right; and they all want to help you build a solid foundation so that you will be able to fully enjoy the shooting sports for a long time.
This course will show you how to: Identify parts of a handgun, load and unload, describe the basic fundamentals of shooting, cover the basic safety rules, laws about owning, possession, and storage, gun selection, and more.
