Introduction to Violence – Ambushes and Thugs

The Essentials seminar is intended primarily for Law Enforcement and Martial Artists but is beneficial to non martial-artists as well. Mr. Miller will discuss the context of self defense including New York state self-defense law which is a MUST HAVE for anyone who finds themselves faced with a potentially violent encounter. Drills will include learning to see the situation as it is, de-escalation, efficient movement, and fighting to the goal. Although active participation in the drills is suggested to maximize the benefits of the instruction, student observation versus participation is encouraged for any activities which they consider dangerous, unpleasant, or uncomfortable.
