AKA: Article 35 “Justification of Defense”
New York State has a very specific attitude and potentially confusing laws regarding the use of force and deadly force. This lecture course will help you understand your abilities, and more importantly, your limitations, in the use of force and deadly force as an armed citizen. Created with information gathered from multiple legal sources and professionals, the information you will learn here will better guide you in your everyday life as an Armed Citizen.
In some cases, this course MAY be used to augment your goal of obtaining a ‘full carry’ permit in NY State.
This course should not be construed as legal advice. This is an informational course. However, this course WILL inform you of the laws that dictate the conditions in which you would either be justified or not justified when using force or deadly force. We always advise you to seek out professional legal advice for a final determination of your abilities and limitations.
Using a combination of real life encounters and the clinical, legal information found in New York State laws, you will come away with a better understanding of your rights, actions, and what you should expect in the event of a use of force incident.
We suggest using this course to augment the NY Permit Legalities and Firearms Safety course we offer.
